RMC led, CF Lifesaving Team Wins Bronze at National Lifesaving Championships

 New National Team members: NCdt Teri Share and Pte Marc Prud’homme

These championships brought together the best lifesaving teams from around the country in order to compete in several different categories. The main events are held in the pool and consist in “rescuing” an orange plastic dummy located either at the bottom of the pool or at the other end of the pool. Each race is different in nature, but all are equally challenging. Other events in which the CF team did not participate were the First Aid and Life Guarding events. It is important to note, although the CF team was third overall, they were the best team in the pool events.


 

The women’s relay team as well as the men’s relay team won gold in the 4 x 25m manikin carry and silver in two other relay races.
