What? Ex-cadets weekend at CMR St-Jean
When? 15-16 September 2006
Where? CMR St-Jean college grounds
For who? Entry class of 1986 (1987
for our BA friends), graduating class of 1991 (and
1992 for our "re-tread" colleagues) and all their
friends, life partners, fans and any other person
interested in having a great time.
Why? To celebrate 15 years after graduation, 20
years after having entered CMR, 20 years of service,
10 years or more of going back to civilian life, or
any other good reason to meet old friends and
acquaintances, share stories, "bullsh--", laugh,
have fun, etc.
How? It is simple. The CMR Ex-Cadets' Foundation
has already organized pretty much everything. See
the following link:
http://www.cmrstjean.com/fin_semaine/reunion_s2006.html
. You will find there the weekend's details, a link
(bottom left corner) > to an "answering sheet" to
register (which provides information on the
schedule, costs and means of payment). By the way
the spouses/partners are invited to all activities.
Coordination: With the blessing from our fearless
Graduating class of '91 - Class secretary, Louis
Hamel, I have taken the lead to coordinate the best
possible turn-out for this event, for individuals
mentioned in the "For who" paragraph above. I have
been able to identify valorous representatives for
each squadron, tasked with tracking (with your
assistance) the colleagues that may have shared with
you the CMR St-Jean experience, be it for 3 months,
1, 3 or 5 years. I've elected to go with class of
entry representatives because we were way more at
the beginning than at graduation; it also allows us
to reach those who have gone to RMC. The identified
representatives are as follows:
1 Squadron: Eric Couillard,
Couillard.E@forces.gc.ca
2 Squadron: Louis Hamel,
hamel.kl@sympatico.ca
3 Squadron: Stéphane Bilodeau,
jsbilodeau@sympatico.ca
4 Squadron: Bruno St-Pierre,
bstpierre@sba-inc.qc.ca
5 Squadron: Ghislain Létourneau,
Letourneau.JBG@forces.gc.ca
6 Squadron: Alain Dussault,
alain.dussault@bell.ca
7 Squadron: Jean-François Jolin,
jjolin@nortel.com
8 Squadron: André Richard,
Richard.JAA2@forces.gc.ca
Your tasks (if you agree):
1. Contact your representative to:
a. update your contact information such as address,
phone number, and preferred e-mail address;
|
b. advise if you intend to take part in the 15-16
September 2006 weekend, and if so to what
activities. You will also need to register/pay for
the activities by going through the site mentioned
at the "How?" paragraph above;
c. indicate if you'll need accommodations for the
weekend (we'll try to obtain deals on rooms based on
business volume we may bring);
d. advise if you are interested in participating in
a class activity on Saturday noon/afternoon such as
a family BBQ on the college grounds with sports like
soccer, volleyball and softball;
e. provide any information that could be useful in
tracking your entry squadron colleagues or
graduating class companions that would not appear on
the following list (individuals to whom I have sent
this e-mail);
See French version.
f. advise if you live in the Montréal/St-Jean area
and if you can help a bit if required, or if you
have contacts that could help us in organizing this
event (deals on accommodations, baby-sitting, BBQ
food, etc.).
2. Update your personal info at the following site
which is as much for Ex-Cadets from CMR, RMC or RRMC:
http://www.classof1991.rmcclub.ca/rmc1991classmates.htm
. To do so you have to send an e-mail to <mailto:srgoyette@hotmail.com>
to provide your info, as it is presented in the
site. If you have not graduated in '91, have not
graduated at all from a military college, it does
not matter. As long as you have a college number
and maybe you could have graduated in '91, that's
the important thing (if your name is not there it
will be added at your request). Please send your
info Cc the following addresses:
mailto:Cindy.Shelley@rmc.ca> and <mailto:anciens@cfsj.qc.ca>
.
3.
Keep your representative, the RMC Club of Canada,
and the CMR Ex-Cadets' Foundation aware of your
whereabouts, address, e-mail, phone number, etc.,
for the rest of your lives!
Webmaster required: if one of you could volunteer to
set up a simple website for this class reunion,
please advise me as soon as possible.
Hoping that you will take an active part in this
fantastic weekend that will be filled with
camaraderie and fun, do not hesitate to contact me
at
mailto:Letourneau.JBG@forces.gc.ca> or at
ghisetsteph@videotron.ca if I'm out of the
office for a while. Cheers,
Vérité, Devoir, Vaillance
